This from my series of Algues from Bornholm.

My source of inspiration is the botanist Anna Atkins and her book Photographs of British Algae: Cyanotype Impressions. In my own blueprints, I make an artistic adaptation of the algae, which helps to give the images and dreamy, hovering expressions. For a number of years I have been working with the photographic process Cyanotype, which evokes negative images using light. The blue color that naturally comes in the process mimics the depth and color of the sea. In addition, I make small etchings in the color of the photo. It also gives an effect of water. It is very much the feeling of movement in seaweed that interests me
